John H. Contois, PhD, DABCC, FAACC

John H. Contois, PhD, DABCC, FAACC founded Sun Diagnostics in 2012 as a “laboratory solutions provider” to provide products for labs and IVD manufacturers to simplify validation experiments and improve quality of testing. John has many years’ experience as Laboratory Director in both hospital and commercial laboratories, including Quest Diagnostics, the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and LipoScience. John has also helped many laboratories as a Consultant, primarily focused on quality assurance, method validation and regulatory compliance.

John Contois’ Education & Personal Life

John received his BS from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and his MS and PhD from the University of Connecticut. He received postdoctoral training in Clinical Chemistry at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT and Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching British detective shows, researching family history, and writing baseball biographies.
