He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and a Fellow of the Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine.
He earned his BS from the University of Massachusetts Boston and his MS and PhD from the University of Connecticut. He completed postdoctoral fellowships in Clinical Chemistry at Hartford Hospital and in Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
